Information Package - May 1993
==============================
The premise behind LostNet is to setup a network for the distribution of
Echos and related information that pertains to nothing but users having fun.
I belong to several different networks and was thinking it would be great to
have one network that would focus on *FUN* instead of having to participate
in several different networks. This is an attempt to pull together for the
first time one message base just to have fun and without the hassle of most
rules. Many already have an Echo or two that they read but for the most part
the distribution of those Echos are very limited. With LostNet it will take
you back to the days of just having fun.
Preliminary discussions (both voice and net-mail) with 1000's of users have
indicated interest in this project. Permission to distribute Echos have been
received from most networks that all have dumb guide lines. This is a brand
new Echo only a limited number of Board have been contacted thus far to see
if there is interest to support our undertakings. In addition we only have
one thought in mind. JUST TO HAVE FUN!
Sysops have been contacted and thus far I'm pleased to report a 100%
favorable response when asked if they would carry the LostNet Free4All
conference and participate. We are encouraged with the initial response and
have decided that it will indeed be lot of fun so we are proceeding with the
formation of LostNet.
There are many general message Echos (almost every network has one) but the
specific Echos are limited by rules and that takes away the fun. What we
seek to do is pull together the specific Echos and offer them to any sysop
that wants to be a part of this network.
